The Masters Academy of Art is hosting its Sundance Fall Painting Invitational which will run from Sunday, September 27 - Saturday, October 3, 2026. Participation in this event is by invitation only. Invited guests must fill out the registration form and pay the registration fee in order to participate. Participation fees vary based on your accommodations. We will be providing a map of several possible painting locations scattered in and around Sundance resort, Provo Canyon, and near Park City. The registration fee will go towards event promotion, an opening reception dinner, and a mid-week barbecue party. We will also hold a wet-painting exhibition at the Meyer Gallery in Park City the afternoon/evening of Saturday, October 3 for the works we create throughout the week. Participation in this exhibition is not required, and works will not need to be framed. Artists will receive 75% of the sale price of their work, with 10% going to The Masters Academy of Art to support future programming and events, and 15% going to the Meyer Gallery for hosting the show. Each participating artist will also receive a t-shirt, so don't forget to mark your t-shirt size on your registration form.

Invited artists are responsible for their own travel, some food and any other expenses. Special group dinners will be announced closer to the event. We will work with individual artists to help promote the event and their individual work through our social media platforms. We ask that each invited artist provide us with a minimum of 5 emails of collectors or friends that we can invite to our final exhibition and sale. These emails will not be added to any spam or newsletter lists, and will only be used for this event.
If you are an artist who would like to be considered to receive an invitation to participate, please feel free to email Ryan S. Brown at [email protected] with your request.
Lodging options For artists coming in from out of town
The Masters Academy of Art has received a generous donation from The Clyde Companies that has allowed us to reduce the price by 50% for all artists. The prices listed below or half the original cost, and we'd like to thank Clyde Companies for their generous support.
We do have more artists interested in participating than we have accommodations for. So we will have to take you on a first come, first served basis. But we will keep a waitlist, just in case something opens up.

Registration Information:
You can fill out the registration form without paying. However, your position is not guaranteed until payment has been received. On the registration form, you can indicate which room/cabin you prefer to stay in in the comments section. This may not guarantee that you get your preferred room, as we must consider which participants will be sharing rooms or bathrooms, and we would like to make sure each participants stay is comfortable. But I will do everything I can to assign you your preferred room.
Artists who would like to participate must register on or before August 15 so we can make proper arrangements for our final number of participants. Any registrations after this date will not be accepted.
